Korean Artificial Marble
Seamless Korean marble (acrylic solid surface) countertops, vanity tops, and commercial counters, installed across the UAE.
Korean artificial marble — usually just called Korean marble, and sometimes Corian, after the best-known solid-surface brand — is not natural stone quarried from the earth. It is a man-made acrylic solid surface: acrylic resin and fine mineral filler cast into sheets that carry the same colour and pattern all the way through. The name comes from South Korea, home to several of the largest solid-surface manufacturers.
Because it is solid all the way through, Korean marble can be joined, shaped, and repaired in ways a quarried slab cannot, which is why it is widely used in modern interiors, kitchen countertops, and vanity tops. Earth Cone installs it in homes and commercial spaces across the UAE.
What’s included
- Kitchen countertops and islands — worktops cut out for sinks, taps, and hobs, including induction hobs set flush with the surface
- Vanity tops — single and double vanities, with basins in the same material bonded in, so there is no rim or sealant line to collect dirt
- Commercial counters — reception desks, restaurant and buffet counters, serving stations, and washroom counters with several basins in one run
- Curved pieces — rounded counter ends, curved fronts, and radiused edges
- Cut-outs and inserts — openings for drop-in food wells and serving inserts, finished with stainless-steel trims
- On-site finishing — joints bonded, sanded, and polished in place once the counter is set
How Korean marble compares with natural marble and quartz
- Seamless joints — sheets are bonded with a colour-matched adhesive and sanded flush, so a long or L-shaped counter reads as one piece. Natural marble and quartz slabs meet at a visible joint.
- Non-porous — spills sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so it does not need sealing and resists staining. That is also why it is common in restaurants, clinics, and washrooms. Natural marble is porous and needs periodic resealing.
- Repairable — the colour runs all the way through, so light scratches and marks can be sanded and buffed out on site.
- Shapeable — it can be heat-formed into curves and joined into built-in basins, shapes that would otherwise have to be carved from stone.
- Softer and less heat-resistant — it scratches more easily than quartz or granite and can be marked by hot pans. Use trivets and chopping boards.
From measure to handover
Every job starts with an on-site measure and a written quote covering the material, cut-outs, and timeline. Counters are made to the measured run, set on the base units, and then the joints are bonded, sanded, and polished on site, with openings cut to suit the sinks, hobs, and inserts going in.
Because Earth Cone’s plumbing and electrical crews are in-house, the basins, taps, and hob connections can be handled on the same job. Earth Cone installs Korean marble for homes and commercial fit-outs across Dubai and the rest of the UAE.
